We also have available NEW WOOD beams that are hand hewn. We are able to offer a variety of color and texture choices at reasonable prices. These beams are Cedar and can be customized to your specifications.
You have 2 choices as far as the hand hewn look.
The top beam on the wagon shows an example of a NEW hand hewn beam that has axe marks from the adze. The bottom beam is hand hewn without the axe marks. These beams are new lumber and are air dried. You can expect some additional checking within the first year or two.
We offer 4 color choices (left to right) light brown, medium, dark and black. The color may vary slightly depending on the actual beam itself.

Sample Pricing:
Cedar Mantel 6" by 8" by 7 feet in length, unfinished would cost $210 in the smooth or rough sawn and $285 for hand hewn. Add $75 for stain and clear coat.
